D2V is a GRACoL/ICC COMPLIANT BUSINESS
All of our equipment is calibrated using standards adapted from GRACoL 7 specifications. Following these internationally accepted guidelines ensures that all D2V produced graphics have universal color values in any format on any material.
WE ARE A SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS
D2V believes in the viability of green business practices. Our commitment to the environment extends to every aspect of production. Following the three rules of "reduce, reuse, recycle," our policies conserve resources and help lower costs. D2V is dedicated to keeping pace with advances in green graphics technology as they develop.
REDUCE
We regularly document and compile statistics of our consumption and VOC output. A third party environmental safety consultant then audits the data to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. D2V uses technologies that produce the least possible atmospheric, chemical or solid waste. Our press uses “low and no” VOC inks, coatings and fountain solutions. D2V offers soy-based inks as well as a full range of recycled stock on request.
REUSE All house-inventoried stock contains 30% recycled post-consumer waste. We purchase raw blankets and attach reusable blanket bars. D2V also reuses inks from project to project to minimize waste. All inks not consumed in manufacturing are reformulated into black ink. We use make-ready stock two to three times to reduce paper consumption; D2V repurposes clean waste paper and packing materials for packaging and shipping.
RECYCLE
Paper, carton, craft and core waste, aluminum print plates, metal strapping and clean metal waste that cannot be reused internally is sold to a third party service provider for recycling. Inks, press lubricants, coatings and solutions that cannot be reused are stored in segregated containers and recycled by a certified vendor. Functioning but dated technologies and equipment are donated to educational institutions; non-functioning electronics are disposed of
via a certified technology recycling and disposal supplier. |
